The project rethinks play spaces as open-ended environments that encourage children to imagine, experiment, and create their own ways of playing, rather than following fixed instructions.
The Curve & The Dot are seating pieces that extend the language of the playscape. Inspired by the natural seams and curves found in AlUla’s rock formations, they translate geological lines into soft, playful forms. While designed as places to sit and rest, they remain open-ended in use. Their abstract shapes, tactile surfaces, and bright colors make them feel approachable and familiar, yet slightly unexpected. Together, the bench and stool create moments of connection between play and rest, blending everyday seating with the surrounding landscape.
